What Green Rated is — and is not

Green Rated is an independent directory of green energy installers and repair engineers. We verify the credentials shown on listings, but a listing is information, not a recommendation or guarantee of any company’s work. Any contract for work is between you and the company you hire — we are not a party to it and are not responsible for any listed company’s work, pricing or conduct.

Do your own final checks

We check credentials against official registers on the date shown on each listing, but certifications and business details can change. Always confirm a company’s current certification and get your quote in writing before agreeing to work. What we check is explained on

Grants and costs

Grant and cost information is compiled from official sources and dated. It is general information, not financial or professional advice — schemes change, so always confirm the current position on the official source we link before making decisions.

Enquiries

Sending an enquiry passes your details to the company it’s for, as described in our Privacy Policy, and creates no obligation on you or them.

Listed businesses

Listings show publicly available business information verified against official registers. To correct or remove your listing, email hello@greenrated.co.uk — removal requests are honoured promptly.

Paid services for businesses

Using Green Rated is free for people looking for an installer or repair engineer, and a standard listing is free for businesses. Businesses can pay for optional services — such as a clearly-labelled Featured placement or receiving customer enquiries. These services are for businesses only and are provided under a separate agreement confirmed at the time of purchase. Paid services never change what this site costs you as a visitor (nothing), never change what we verify or how, and never change the factual content of any page.

Our content

The site’s text, data compilations and design belong to Green Rated. Link to any page freely; do not copy the listings database or republish substantial parts of the site without written permission.

Acceptable use

No attempts to break security, scrape the database, submit false enquiries, or send unlawful content through any form.

Liability

We work to keep information accurate, but the site is provided “as is” and we cannot promise it is always complete, accurate or available. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses arising from use of the site or from work carried out by any listed company. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited, or affects your statutory consumer rights.

Changes and law

We may update these terms — the date above shows the current version. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
